| Heinrich Schütz "Schwanengesang" | | A rare public performance of parts of Heinrich Schütz' "Swan Song" will be given in Carlisle Cathedral by Voices of the North on July 13. Composed at the age of 86 in 1672, it was not publlished for over 300 years. The work consists of 13 motets, 11 of which comprising a setting of the whole of Psalm 119, will be performed in the concert as part of the Carlisle International Festival. | |
